Clarinet Sonata, Op. 167
Clarinet Sonata, Op. 167 was written by Saint-Saëns in the last year of his life. Along with his other sonatas, it is one his most durable contributions to the chamber repertoire and is incredibly important in the woodwind repertoire. Camille unfortunately passed away before he was able to hear the piece performed.
Below you can hear an excerpt from Clarinet Sonata, Op. 167 performed with a clarinet from Infinite Woodwinds. The performance was rendered in each of the four available spaces. The Studio version uses the “Clear” profile. The Studio version from the main page features an algorithmic hall reverb on top.
The clarinet is sitting in the 1st row, and is treated with a subtle FET compressor. A Red 3 is sitting on the master channel, along with a touch of tape saturation.
